O’Rourke & Associates, established by Brendan J. O’Rourke in 1987 in New Canaan, Connecticut, has a niche practice representing corporate and individual clients in commercial litigation and commercial transactions. Brendan O’Rourke and his colleagues, Catherine R. Keenan and Zara K. Morgan, as well as the firm’s paralegals, have a wealth of experience in handling complex commercial cases and have been successful in obtaining favorable and cost effective results for clients.

We have trial experience before the United States District Court and Connecticut Superior Court. We have conducted arbitrations before American Arbitration Association, FINRA and various administrative agencies, including the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities. We have also represented clients in appeals to the United States Court of Appeals (Second Circuit), Connecticut Supreme Court and Connecticut Appellate Court.

With respect to our other commercial representations, O’Rourke & Associates handles various forms of commercial transactions, including the purchase and sale of closely held family businesses, and the purchase, sale and lease of commercial real estate. In addition, we have acted as chief outside general counsel for several companies, including a Connecticut industrial company which conducts business internationally. In such role, we have been involved in contract drafting, managing multi-state litigation defense and advising on employment matters.
